By now you have seen the television commercials about the durability and security of Crimsafe Security Screens. The best news is, we have been installing these for over 2 years!
This is so much more than the “screen door” or “screen windows” we have become accustom to, these keep out the bugs and the bad guys! Knives, chains, even baseball bats don’t penetrate these ultra-strong steel window and door screens.
We support and install the Crimsafe brand of security screens; they have a plethora of videos demonstrating these incredible security additions. Here is one of my favorites.
I have spent this month writing and talking about home security, from stats on home invasions to methods to protect your home and valuables. My last post was about locks, screens and safes, there are several varieties of safes available in a plethora of styles, sizes and features. Today, I’m writing about the 2 most common types of safes we sell.
Gun Safes – If you own a firearm, you should own a gun safe. Gun safes keep your firearm away from robbers and kids too!
Gun safes come in a variety of sizes; from individual pistol safes to small and large rifle and shotgun safes. Gun safes also come with a fire rating to protect your valuables in the event of a home fire. The more fire protection, the more expensive the gun safe.
The locks on a firearm safe can vary from the standard key variety, to a combination lock and even electronic locks. The level of protection directly affects the price, so we encourage every customer to evaluate the value of their property and don’t over buy or under buy a gun safe.
Gun safes are also great for storing jewelry!
Hidden Safes – Floor and wall safes are the most common type of hidden safes. REMEMBER, criminals know about safes and how to hide them; make certain before you purchase a hidden safe that it will be properly secured to your home. We have several methods to literally permanently adhere your floor or wall safe that would take some very heavy equipment to remove.
Hidden safes also come in a collection of sizes and fire ratings, know the value of your property in order to purchase the right size and features in your safe. Myself, or any of my Anchor Security & Locksmith co-workers will gladly help you choose a safe.
Please call or stop by our showroom in Cornelius to see some safes and talk to a professional home security expert about securing your property.
January & February are very popular months for burglars; homes are filled with new and valuable items from the Christmas holiday. Some of the favorite things thieves like to steal are:
These 4 items are the easiest to sell for quick cash. Burglars are in your home for an average of approximately 10 minutes and cause a lifetime of misery.
FACT: Thieves are scared and seek an easy home to vandalize!
Creating an environment that is NOT inviting for a home invasion is the best preventative. An ounce of prevention will save a lifetime of misery!
Here are some tips on how we help you secure your property and make your home a very difficult target for a robber.
Door Locks – the #1 entry point for a burglar is the front and rear doors of a home. Upgrading the locks on your doors is our best method to thwart the bad guys.
Window Screens – we have a window screen that is impervious to penetration by a thief! It would take a lot of energy, some very loud tools and a long time to penetrate our window screens.
Safes – our selection of safes is unmatched in the Cornelius area. We have a showroom with a variety of safes to see and we can order anything you need. We have gun safes that will protect your firearms from theft and fire. We also have safes that are not visible; mounted in the floor and hidden in walls.
Doors, windows and safes will protect your property and provide you with peace of mind.
